Desire, Selfish Motive and Attachment are the root cause of Anger. 16.11.95 Avyakt Murli
1. Amrit vela means the beginning period of the entire day. Those children who imbibe the love of the Father in their heart from amrit vela are not attracted by any other love because they have their heart full of Godly love. If, according to your stage, you do not completely fill your heart with love, if your heart is even a little empty, if you have only imbibed a little love, then because there is still some space in your heart, you are attracted by the many forms of love for Maya, either in the form of other people or in the form of material comforts.
2. It is O.K. to say that the person is very good, but at that time when you see any speciality, any virtue or their service, do not forget the Bestower. That person is also a taker, not a giver. Without belonging to the Father, could they have developed that speciality? Can they develop it? Or did they bring that speciality with themselves when they came into knowledge? Did they have that speciality on the path of ignorance? The speciality of Godly service cannot exist on the path of ignorance. On the path of ignorance, they may have a speciality or virtue, but after coming into knowledge, if they do not fill that virtue or speciality with knowledge, then that speciality or virtue cannot do as much service on the path of knowledge. You have to fill your natural virtue with knowledge. So, who is it that fills it with knowledge? The Father. So, who is it a gift from? Who is the Bestower? So, do you like the one who takes or do you like the Bestower? So, why do you chase after those who only take?
3. Don't you need anyone then? What should you do if the Father does not listen to you? Many children complain that they told Baba about something, but that Baba did not listen to them and didn't reply. So, what should you do then? In fact, if your heart is full of Godly love, Godly powers and Godly knowledge, if there isn't even a little space, then there cannot be attachment or love for anyone else. Many say: "We do not have any attachment. However, we do like them". So, what would you call this? If you do not have any attachment, but you like them. Then, what is this? Should you be given this much freedom, that you can like them, without having any attachment? You can sit with them, talk to them, and enable them to do service. You enjoy all this; so, should you be given this freedom?
4. whether the child is two years old or sixty years old, or even two months old, whether a teacher or a student, whether he is surrendered or in a household, they should all become free from attachment. Baba has taken on the responsibility of purity for the year of the Diamond Jubilee, you have also taken on the responsibility of purifying the elements: do you have this thought or does the Father alone have to do all this? Do you have to do it also? Are you the companions of the Father? Your hand is a little hesitant in this, and you become clever in this way. Do not do this. BapDada wishes every child in the world to become free of attachment to facilities and other beings. You must not have any attachment to the facilities either. To use those facilities is one thing, but attachment is something different. So BapDada wishes you to be free from attachment.
5. As you progress in today's world, the foundation of purity of all those souls who have called themselves religious souls, great souls, will shake a lot. It was also at such a time, at the beginning, when Brahma Baba became an instrument, that he was insulted. Why was he insulted? Due to which aspect was he insulted? It was because of purity. Otherwise, in the earlier life of Brahma, his personality was such that no one of even a senior age had the courage to raise a finger to him. And then, because of purity, he had to accept the insults. What is the newness of this Godly knowledge? Purity is the newness. You say with so much intoxication that even though cotton wool is living together with fire, it cannot catch fire. You issue this challenge. Those who are couples, raise your hands! (There are many couples.) So, are all of you couples issuing this challenge, or will there be a small fire and then you will extinguish it? You are challenging the world, are you not? You tell the whole world in your lectures that, without purity, one cannot become a yogi or a gyani soul. This is your challenge, isn't it?
6. Now, do not think that you have finished anger for one year, and that you are now free. Do not think this. When you experience yourself to be completely free from attachment you will automatically become free from anger.
7. Why? Why do you get angry? If you are not able to fulfil whatever you desire or you are not able to attain whatever you want, you then become angry. The reason for anger is that whenever the thoughts you have, whether they are right or wrong, are not fulfilled, you become angry. For instance, you may want to take part in the conference or function that's happening, and you feel that, after all, when would you get the chance for this again. You have a desire and you even give this signal, but if you are not given this chance, then do you get irritated or not? O.K., you may not have had any gross anger for anyone, but you would have had waste thoughts about whoever refused you. So that is not purity. To offer yourself or give your ideas is allowed; but, having offered your ideas, do not change those ideas into your own desires. When your thoughts take the form of desires, then you become irritated, or you even show anger through your words or you even use your hands: that is the gross form of anger. However, give your ideas without any selfish motive. Do not have any selfish motive, thinking that, because you said it, it should happen. Do not think in this way. You may offer something; that is not wrong, but do not get engaged in why or what etc. Otherwise, all its companions of jealousy and hatred also follow. Therefore, if you have made the discipline of purity firm, if you have become free from attachment, then you won't have any attachment about what should happen. It should not be, "This should happen." If you offer something without any selfish motive, that will reach others quickly. If you offer something out of a selfish motive or out of jealousy, that would create anger.
8. BapDada is able to see many new things on His T.V. Sixty years are now being completed, and so whatever had not yet happened, Baba is able to see those new games a lot these days. Baba will tell you of each one each time this season. He will not tell you all of them together, but individually one by one. But remember that if you have the slightest attachment or selfish motive about anyone, even in your dreams, then finish that in your dreams. Many say that it comes in their dreams, but that it is not put into practical action. If you have had any wasteful or vicious dream or a dream of attachment, then you must definitely have been careless before you went to sleep. Many say that they didn't have any such thoughts throughout the day, that nothing as such had happened, and yet they dreamt this. So, at the time of going to sleep, check that you went to sleep having given BapDada your chart of the whole day and made your intellect free, or whether you came home tired and immediately fall asleep. This is carelessness. You may not have performed any sinful action nor had any such thoughts, but this is punishment for carelessness, because the Father's direction is that you must always make your intellect clear before going to sleep. Whether it was good or bad, give everything to the Father and empty your intellect. Just give it to the Father and go to sleep with the Father, not by yourself. When you sleep alone, you get dreams. If you sleep with the Father, you can never have such dreams, because you have this order. It can be an order but if you do not obey the order, then there is some craving. When you wake up in the morning, you have the craving for purity in your heart because your purity was broken in your dream. You crave for it so much, but then the reason for this was carelessness. So do not become careless. It should not be that you fall asleep talking of whatever has come up from here or there, because there is a lot of news about everything. And interesting news is always wasteful. Many say that they do not have any other time, but when they go to one room, they have an exchange of these bits of news. However, do not ever go to sleep whilst talking about wasteful things. This is carelessness. This is disobeying an order. If you do not have any other time, then you can talk about it in another room, but not in your bedroom. If it is something essential, you may go out for two seconds and share that, but do not share that whilst in bed. Many children have this habit. BapDada is able to see how everyone goes to sleep.
9. Through His T.V., BapDada tours around the whole world in one second and sees everything of how you go to sleep and how you talk. It only takes BapDada one second; it doesn't take Him long. He goes on a tour of every centre and every household. It isn't that He only tours the centres. Everything of your home also appears on the T.V.
So the beginning and the end: BapDada spoke of the beginning of amrit vela and the end of the day, the time of going to sleep. When your beginning and end are all right, the middle will automatically be all right. Do you understand? Whilst talking about other things, some even stay up till midnight or 12.30. You become totally absorbed in that, and you do not even realise what time it is. And then, when you wake up at amrit vela, you spend half the time in the land of sleep and half the time in yoga. Those who go to sleep with carelessness will be careless at amrit vela also. Do not think that no one is watching you. BapDada is watching you. Because sleep gives you a lot of peace, it also gives you a lot of happiness, and therefore it becomes mixed. If you then ask them, they would say: No, really, I was having a beautiful experience of peace. Sleep is also called rest. If someone is ill, what do the doctors tell him? To get some rest. What rest should you have? Go to sleep on time and you will get rest whilst sleeping. It refreshes you, does it not? When you awaken from sleep refreshed, you say that you felt very fresh in yoga. Achcha.
